Anna Sheydina

Anna Sheydina is a skilled bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience in genomics and molecular genetics. Currently employed at BioLegend since March 2021, Anna specializes in bioinformatics. Previously, Anna served as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at DNA Link USA, focusing on next-generation sequencing data analysis and algorithm optimization. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Associate at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, where Anna investigated hypoxia tolerance in cancer, and Postdoctoral Fellow at NIA/NIH, studying cellular senescence and apoptosis pathways. Early career experience includes positions at Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute and the Laboratory of Microorganism Genetics, where Anna contributed to genetic research and diagnostic development. Anna holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics/Biochemistry from the Physics Institute and Institute for Experimental Medicine and a Master's in Biophysics from St. Petersburg Technical State University.
