Paul Vauterin has extensive experience in the field of bioinformatics and data management. Paul is currently the Chief Technology Officer at BioLizard, where they oversee the technological aspects of the company. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director at Syntellion BV.

From 2020 to 2022, Vauterin worked at Aelin Therapeutics, where they held the position of Chief Information Officer. Paul was responsible for the development of the company's advanced data and knowledge management platform, DELPHI, and the creation of ATHENA, an innovative in silico compound design engine. Before this role, they served as the VP of Data Science at Aelin Therapeutics.

Before joining Aelin Therapeutics, Vauterin worked at ONTOFORCE as the SVP of R&D. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic roadmap, leadership, and execution of the company's software products. Paul also served as the VP of Analytics at ONTOFORCE.

Prior to their time at ONTOFORCE, Vauterin held the position of VP Informatics at Multiplicom N.V., where they developed CE-IVD approved SAAS solutions for genomic sequencing diagnostics assays. Paul was also a member of the executive team at Multiplicom N.V.

Earlier in their career, Vauterin worked at the University of Oxford as the Principal Scientific Software Architect, focusing on developing applications for analytics and data mining in the field of malaria research. Paul also co-founded Applied Maths, a global leader in software for biological data analytics, where they served as the Head of Software Development.

Paul Vauterin completed their Master's degree in Physics at Ghent University from 1988 to 1992. Paul then pursued a PhD in Physics (Astronomy) at the same university from 1992 to 1994.
