Eric Varma, MD is a Partner at Oracle Investment Management (OIM). Since 2009, his deep understanding of the healthcare sector led Oracle to become a successful early investor in multiple cutting-edge healthcare technologies that grew to become standards of care.
Prior to joining OIM, Dr. Varma’s experience included working at SVB Leerink, a healthcare investment bank, the Boston Consulting Group, and the Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Varma served on the board of Aspira Women’s Health (NASDAQ: AWH) during the transformative period (09/2013 – 06/2018) when the company developed a next-generation liquid biopsy diagnostic for ovarian cancer, which received FDA approval.
Dr. Varma received his BA from the University of California at Berkeley, MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also currently on the board and acting as Treasurer for the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC).
