Antonio Villanueva is a seasoned professional in marine science and aquaculture with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Global Technical Advisor for Marine Fish Hatcheries at BioMar since April 2019, Antonio also holds the role of Senior Technical Advisor for BioFarm West Med. Prior to this, significant contributions were made as the Representative of Spain at the EMBRC General Assembly and as Station Manager at the Estación de Ciencias Mariñas de Toralla, overseeing operations and staff at a leading marine research facility. Other notable positions include Production Manager at Sea8 and Aquaculture R&D Manager at the same Toralla station, alongside earlier roles in production support, hatchery management, and virology. Antonio's educational background comprises an Executive MBA in Management of Research Infrastructures from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and a Master’s degree in Marine Science from Universidade de Vigo, complemented by advanced training in Aquaculture Production.
