Joan Skinner

Joan Skinner is an experienced leader in supply chain management and procurement, currently serving as the Head of TOPS Global Sourcing & Procurement at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since June 2019. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at Genentech from 2006 to 2019, where responsibilities encompassed Business Process and Technology, External Manufacturing, and Purchasing within the supply chain. Previous positions include Head of Supply Chain for Baxter Healthcare's Renal Division, 3COM, and USRobotics, showcasing a strong history in supply chain optimization. Joan holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain / Operations Management from Northern Illinois University, with additional studies as a Master's degree candidate in Organizational Development and Change at Penn State World Campus.
