Rudy Bukovnik

Consulting Materials Scientist and Process Development Engineer at Biomason

Rudy Bukovnik, PhD has over 30 years of experience in the field of materials science and engineering. Rudy began their career in 1989 as a Staff Scientist at Raychem, where they worked until 1994. Rudy then moved to Tyco Electronics-Energy Division as a Development Group Leader and stayed there until 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they worked at Semprius as a Staff Scientist/Engineering Project Leader. Rudy then moved to Delphon in 2014 as the Director of Materials Technology Laboratory and Manager of Film Production at Gel-Pak. In 2016, they joined LORD Corporation as a Senior Staff Scientist in Electronics Materials R&D. In 2018, they began working as a Consulting Materials Scientist and Process Development Engineer at bioMASON Inc. Most recently, in 2019, they joined TE Connectivity as a Product Manager/Product Specialist for High Voltage Cable Accessories.

Rudy Bukovnik, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from the University of Alberta between 1976 and 1981. Rudy then went on to earn their Master of Science (MS) in Organic Chemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland between 1981 and 1983. Rudy completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin between 1983 and 1987. Afterward, they completed a Post-Doctoral in Medicinal Chemistry at Columbia University between 1988 and 1989. In 2001, they attended a Short Course in Business Finance at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Finally, in 2004 they obtained a Design for Six Sigma Black Belt from Tyco Corporate R&D.
