Ben Durwood

Ben Durwood, CPA has a diverse work experience in the accounting field. Ben currently serves as the Senior Director of Accounting at BioMed Realty since January 2023, having previously worked as the Director of Accounting from February 2022 to January 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Controller at F&F Properties from August 2021 to February 2022.

From August 2018 to August 2021, Ben worked as an Assistant Controller at H.G. Fenton Company. Ben gained valuable experience in auditing during their tenure at KPMG, where they held various roles including Audit Manager from July 2016 to August 2018, Senior Audit Associate from July 2013 to June 2016, and Audit Associate from August 2011 to June 2013.

In addition to their professional roles, Ben also worked as a Graduate Student Associate at the Beyster Institute from December 2009 to August 2011 and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of California, San Diego from September 2010 to June 2011. Ben started their career as an Audit Intern at KPMG from June 2010 to August 2010.

Before entering the accounting field, Ben gained experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Jewish Family Service from December 2007 to December 2009.

Ben Durwood, CPA has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UCLA, which they obtained in 2007. Ben later pursued a Certificate in Accounting from UC San Diego Extended Studies from 2007 to 2009. In 2011, they completed their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management. In 2016, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the California Board of Accountancy.
