Jay Jones

Jay Jones is a seasoned professional in the field of data science, currently serving as the Sr Director of Data Science at bioMérieux since January 2022, where the focus is on transforming extensive data into meaningful information to support innovative diagnostic solutions. Prior to this role, Jay held several key positions at BioFire Diagnostics, LLC, including Senior Director of Data Science, overseeing the BioMathematics and Data Analytics departments, as well as Director and Associate Director of Software Development, managing teams that provided advanced statistical and mathematical analysis support for research and development. Jay's experience also includes consulting roles at ARUP Laboratories and as a Statistical Analysis Consultant at Utah State University, where collaboration involved design and analysis of experiments in biological engineering. Jay holds a Master of Science in Statistics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics Education from Utah State University.
