John Hurst

John Hurst, PharmD, BCIDP, serves as the Senior Director of Field Medical Affairs and Senior Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship for bioMérieux since July 2018. Previously, John held the position of Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist of Infectious Diseases at SSM Health from February 2015 to July 2018. John also worked as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist of Infectious Diseases at the Medical University of South Carolina from August 2012 to February 2015 and started as an Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident there from July 2011 to June 2012. John's professional experience began with a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UAB Hospital in 2010-2011 and initial pharmacy education at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center from 2006 to 2010, following Pre-Pharmacy Studies at the University of Oklahoma from 2004 to 2006. Currently, John is pursuing an education in business administration through the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium, starting in September 2022.
