Lapo Giacometti

Lapo Giacometti has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Lapo started their career as a Senior Auditor at Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1995. Lapo then worked as a Finance Manager at General Electric from 1998 to 2002. Following that, they worked as a Financial Controller & Credit Manager at Roche Pharmaceuticals from 2002 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, they served as a Marketing Manager at General Electric, where they managed a team and led pricing for the turbo-machinery division. Since 2008, Giacometti has been with bioMérieux, first as the CFO Italy, managing a team and leading the implementation of SAP in the country, and later as the CFO for Southern Europe and SouthEastern Europe regions. Lapo held various board director roles and managed teams across multiple commercial subsidiaries and manufacturing sites. In 2021, they became the Vice President of Group FP&A - Corporate Finance, and in 2023, they were promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance.

Lapo Giacometti's education history includes attending the Università degli Studi di Firenze, where they studied Business Administration. Lapo also studied at the Liceo Scientifico Morgagni. Additionally, they earned a Laurea L in Scienze Economiche, majoring in Economia aziendale/manageriale, from the Università degli Studi di Firenze.
