Philippe Cleuziat

Senior Director, Public-private Partnerships at bioMérieux

Philippe Cleuziat has a diverse work experience in the field of infectious disease and microbiology. Philippe started in 2001 as Vice President of Marketing and Biological Development at Apibio. In 2005, they joined bioMérieux as a Strategy Development Manager in Molecular Diagnostics, before moving to INSTITUT MERIEUX in 2007 as the Personalized Medicine Programs Director. In 2012, they became the Research Programs and Project Portfolio Director at BIOASTER, where they were responsible for establishing public-private partnerships and managing a portfolio of over 20 projects. Lastly, since 2015, Philippe has been working at bioMérieux as the Innovation Program Senior Director, leading research and innovation programs for the development of new technologies in diagnosing infectious diseases and microbe-related pathologies.

Philippe CLEUZIAT obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon in 1988. Philippe then pursued further studies and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Microbiology and Genetics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 1991. In 2004, they attended a Strategic Marketing Intensive Course at ISM, Paris to enhance their skills in the field of Marketing.
