Scott Way is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience across multiple sectors, particularly in life sciences and genomics. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Bionano since April 2023, Scott is focused on workflow orchestration that integrates automated sample preparation, instrument runs, bioinformatics, and visualization. Previous roles include Associate Director of Software Engineering at Illumina, where Scott contributed to the TruSight Oncology Team, and Director of Genome Visualization and High Performance Computing at BioNano Genomics, delivering clinical-grade software solutions for optical genomic mapping data. Scott has held various leadership positions in enterprise applications and software development at companies such as Intrexon Corporation, Santarus, Trion Worlds, Arena Pharmaceuticals, SAIC, and Quintiles, consistently emphasizing the delivery of innovative software solutions and compliance with industry standards. Scott holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Study from National University.
