Marcel Gandej

Marcel Gandej has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and research sectors. Marcel started their career as a Praxissemester at Seibersdorf Labor GmbH in 2011, followed by a Bachelor Thesis at Hohenstein Institute. In 2014, Marcel completed their Master Thesis at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Experimental Eye Research Institute. Marcel then joined Vetter Pharma as a Mitarbeiter Mikrobiologie - Umgebungskontrolle from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2022, Marcel worked at BioNTech Manufacturing GmbH as a Manager GMP Hygienic Compliance. Currently, they hold the position of Head of QA-Aseptic Compliance at BioNTech IMFS, starting in 2022.

Marcel Gandej has a strong educational background in the field of biomedical sciences. Marcel completed their Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio- und Prozesstechnologie from Hochschule Furtwangen between 2009 and 2012. Marcel's education journey started with their completion of the Staatlich geprüfter biologisch-technischer Assistent (state-certified biological-technical assistant) program with a focus on biology and biotechnology at Jörg-Zürn Gewerbeschule from 2004 to 2006.
