Dr. Verena Bachmann

Dr. Verena Bachmann is a seasoned quality assurance professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Quality Assurance Manager at BioNTech SE since April 2024, where responsibilities include managing global quality contracts. Prior to this role, Dr. Bachmann worked at BioNTech IMFS from July 2016 to March 2024 as a Scientist in Quality Assurance, focusing on various quality-related tasks including audits, regulatory preparation, and risk assessment. Earlier experience includes a role in Quality Control at Orizon GmbH, project management and quality management training at ATV Ausbildung Training Vernetzung GmbH, and academic positions as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta and a PhD student at the University of Konstanz. Dr. Bachmann holds a Diploma in Biology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and has pursued further education in Immunology, Biochemistry, and Virology at the University of Leeds.
