Jose Torres-Vorshirm

Jose Torres-Vorshirm is currently the Vice President of Cell Therapy R&D and Manufacturing Operations at BioNTech SE. Prior to this role, Jose held leadership positions at NOVAVAX INC as the Vice President of Global Supply Chain & Strategic Sourcing, at AstraZeneca as the Global Supply Chain & Strategy Director, and at MedImmune in various roles including Director of Biologics External Manufacturing & Business Development. With an extensive background in the pharmaceutical industry, Jose has also worked at Eli Lilly and Company and Alpha Tech as a consultant. Jose holds a Master's Degree in Technical Management from The Johns Hopkins University, a Post Graduate Degree in Business Management and Supply Chain from the University of Warwick, and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
