Kannan Krishnamurthy

Kannan Krishnamurthy, PhD, currently serves as Senior Director of Business Development at BioNTech SE, a position held since June 2021, after previously holding the role of Director, Business Development. Prior experience includes significant contributions at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from May 2012 to June 2021 as Associate Director of Business Development & Licensing, where Kannan led high-impact transactions in oncology and infectious diseases, evaluated novel technologies, sourced licensing opportunities, and managed alliances for the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. Earlier career roles included positions at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where Kannan was a Postdoctoral Fellow focused on breast cancer research, and a summer internship at Eli Lilly and Company. Kannan holds a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, alongside a Master of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Chemistry, and Zoology.
