Ryan Marien

Ryan Marien has a diverse work experience ranging from founding and co-founding various companies to holding leadership positions. In 2005, they served as the Lead Teaching Assistant at the Department of Chemistry in Queen's University. From 2006 to 2008, they founded and served as the Executive Director of the Goatface Non-Profit Group Inc., where they organized student events and raised over $200,000 for Palliative Care in Kingston. In 2008, Ryan founded Evandale Caviar, a sustainable commercial fishery specializing in Canadian Caviar. In 2013, they co-founded SnapSaves, a mobile savings platform that provided cash back to users for their purchases. The company was later acquired by Groupon in 2014. Starting in 2010, Ryan founded Buytopia.ca, which grew to become one of Canada's largest E-commerce sites offering discounted shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences. Currently, they hold the position of Co-founder at BioRender, a company they started in 2018.
