Rylan Halteman

Rylan Halteman is a seasoned Data Engineer currently leading the Data Engineering practice at BioRender since December 2023. Previously, Rylan spent nearly a decade at Wattpad, progressing through roles including Staff Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, and Technical Lead. Key accomplishments at Wattpad involved directing data migration projects, creating a new Data Pipeline Framework, and designing an Experimentation Platform, significantly enhancing platform performance and user engagement. Rylan has also contributed to various technical advancements, such as automating copyright violation detection and improving email delivery systems. Earlier experiences include positions as a Software Developer at Points.com and Glocalspace, and Quality Assurance Analyst roles, alongside foundational help-desk experiences at Goldcorp Inc. Rylan holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
