Missy Winterboer

Missy Winterboer has a strong background in human resources, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Missy is currently the Human Resources Director at BioSpace since May 2023. Prior to that, Missy worked at Gallagher/Mark J. Becker & Associates, LLC as a Client Services Coordinator from September 2019 to May 2022. Missy provided support to small market employee benefit clients and handled office management functions. Before that, Missy served as a Human Resources Generalist at Grand View University from January 2008 to September 2019. Missy'sprimary focus was on recruiting, onboarding, training, and benefits administration. Missy also has experience as a Service Associate at David P. Lind & Associates, L.C. from February 2007 to January 2008, where they assisted clients with claims, enrollment, and open enrollment meetings. Missy also worked at Holmes Murphy & Associates in various roles, including Assistant Vice President - Professional Development and Professional Development Director, from November 2006 to February 2007 and from May 2002 to November 2006, respectively. In these roles, they led and supervised professional development initiatives and designed and implemented essential skill development courses. Missy started their career as a Human Resources Intern at Holmes Murphy & Associates, where they gained experience in general HR duties.

Missy Winterboer obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Management with an emphasis in Human Resources from Simpson College, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. After completing their undergraduate education, they pursued additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2000, they graduated from Dale Carnegie Training and became a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certified by HRCI. The following year, in 2001, Missy completed the HR Law Series offered by CISHRM and Drake University and became an ASTD Trainers Institute Graduate certified by the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD). Missy'smost recent certification, the Iowa Life and Health Insurance License, was obtained from the Iowa Insurance Division in July 2020.
