Alex is an investment analyst within BioGenerator Ventures, helping to perform due diligence on life science innovations and bringing potential investment opportunities to the team.
He holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was the Co-Director of the Immunology Graduate Student Association and served as the DBBS Executive Council Student Representative. During his doctoral work, he consulted for various St. Louis area biotech startups through the Washington University student group, BALSA. His dissertation focused on the identification of disease-causing mechanisms in animal models of ultra-rare human autoimmune disorders. Immediately following his graduation, he joined the BioGenerator Team.
Prior to Washington University, Alex worked in rheumatic disease research at the University of Michigan and managed immunotherapy clinical trials for the fibrosis-related disorder, systemic sclerosis.
