Jennifer Russo Wortman

Jennifer Wortman is a seasoned professional in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Principal at BioTeam, LLC since March 2024. Prior to this role, Jennifer held the position of Vice President of R&D - Clinical Discovery & Research Technologies at Seres Therapeutics from May 2015 to December 2023, where responsibilities included microbiome data generation and program leadership in therapeutics development. Jennifer's previous experience encompasses roles such as Senior Director of Bioinformatics at Seres Therapeutics, Director of Microbial Informatics at the Broad Institute, and Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, among others. An expert in managing bioinformatics teams and large-scale genomic projects, Jennifer has contributed significantly to research initiatives in infectious diseases and microbiome studies throughout a diverse career in academia and industry.
