Cameron Arterton has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2002, Arterton served as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Chambers of Hon. Henry H. Kennedy Jr. at the United States District Court. Following this, Arterton joined the law firm Fried Frank as an Associate in the Tax Department, specializing in federal income taxation and tax planning.

In 2007, Arterton transitioned to a role as the Ways and Means Counsel for the Office of Congressman Lloyd Doggett in the U.S. House of Representatives. Responsibilities included preparing the Congressman for committee hearings, formulating legislation, and representing the Congressman in meetings and discussions.

In 2011, Arterton joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury as an Attorney-Advisor, focusing on issues related to the Affordable Care Act, tax credits, and Tribal tax issues. Arterton quickly progressed within the department, becoming an Associate Tax Legislative Counsel and eventually Deputy Tax Legislative Counsel, responsible for assisting with the Administration's taxation policy.

In 2015, Arterton joined the law firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP as an Of Counsel, specializing in tax policy and advocacy with Congress, Treasury, and the IRS. This experience paved the way for Arterton's position at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) in 2017, where they initially served as the VP of Tax Policy, focusing on capital formation and financial markets. Arterton was later promoted to the role of VP of Emerging Companies and Capital Formation, overseeing tax and capital formation policies while also acting as a liaison to the Emerging Companies Section Governing Board.

Throughout Arterton's career, they have demonstrated a strong background in tax policy, financial markets, and legislative advocacy, with a particular focus on the biotechnology industry.

Cameron Arterton holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, which was completed from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Government and Japanese from Connecticut College, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Their high school education took place at Choate Rosemary Hall from 1987 to 1991.
