Raffi S.

Raffi S. has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and digital operations. They began their career as a Resident Assistant at McDaniel College starting in August 2008 and ending in May 2011. Following that, Raffi S. worked as a Web and Graphic Design Intern at CASA de Maryland from February 2011 to November 2012. They served as the lead graphic designer and HTML editor, designing various materials and managing websites.

In 2013, Raffi S. joined the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) as a Web Content Consultant. They were responsible for creating and editing content on BIO. org, BIOtechNow. org, and the BIO Newsletter. They also collaborated with the web director on tasks, analyzed web traffic, and provided Drupal training for BIO staff. In the same organization, Raffi S. took on the role of Web Manager, managing BIO's web properties and contributing to online communications and social media efforts. They ensured the display of relevant information and cultivated new web content. Additionally, Raffi S. served as a Senior Web Manager, further enhancing their responsibilities and contributions to BIO.

From 2021 to 2023, Raffi S. worked at NOVAVAX INC as a Senior Manager of Global Digital Operations. They played a crucial role in managing digital operations worldwide. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Strategic Communications at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, starting in August 2023.

Raffi S. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Art with a focus in Graphic Design from McDaniel College between 2007 and 2011. Prior to that, Raffi S. earned a high school diploma from Wheaton High School between 2003 and 2007.
