Dr. Petra Heerklotz

Dr. Petra Heerklotz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Dr. Petra is currently working at BIOTRONIK as the Director of Design Control & Risk Management since December 2020. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Design Quality Assurance from April 2020 to December 2020. From July 2019 to March 2020, they worked as the Director of Design Assurance at the same company.

Before joining BIOTRONIK, Dr. Heerklotz worked at Roche Diagnostics International AG as the Design Quality Assurance Manager from August 2018 to June 2019. Dr. Petra also took a sabbatical from April 2018 to August 2018.

Prior to their experience at Roche, they worked at Tecan Schweiz AG as the Head of Verification & Validation from November 2013 to March 2018. Dr. Petra also served as the Manager of Global Operational Excellence from November 2012 to October 2013 at the same company. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at PASS Technologies AG from January 2011 to November 2012.

At Tecan Schweiz AG, Dr. Heerklotz held multiple roles including Global Project Manager for Cellerity from January 2010 to December 2010. Dr. Petra also worked as a Project Manager for Tecan Integration Group from September 1999 to December 2009.

Dr. Petra Heerklotz began their career as a Diplomantin at HOECHST AG from November 1993 to October 1994.

Dr. Petra Heerklotz obtained their Abitur degree from Liebigschule Gießen in 1989. Dr. Petra then pursued a Diploma in Biology from Justus Liebig University Giessen from 1989 to 1994. Later, they attended ETH Zürich from 1995 to 1999, where they earned their Dr.sc.nat. degree from the Mikrobiologisches Institut. Dr. Petra Heerklotz also has various additional certifications in fields such as communication, leadership, regulatory affairs, and quality management from different institutions such as LinkedIn, Technische Hochschule Lübeck, oncampus GmbH, TÜV Rheinland, the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, Frost & Sullivan, R.
