Katrina Pope

Katrina Pope has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Katrina currently holds the position of SVP Chief Compliance Officer at Bioventus since August 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Member at Chief from January 2023 to February 2024. Katrina also worked at Merz Aesthetics as the VP Chief Compliance Officer in July 2020. From 2015 to 2020, they held the role of Global Compliance Officer at Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH & Co. KGaA. Before joining Merz, Katrina was the VP Chief Compliance Officer at Merz North America, Inc. from November 2009 to March 2015. Katrina started their career at Hopkins & Carley as an Attorney in 1986 and went on to serve as General Counsel at VISX, Incorporated from 1991 to 1998 and Connetics Corporation from 1998 to 2007. Prior to their role at Merz North America, they worked as a Legal Consultant at Stiefel Laboratories from 2007 to 2009.

Katrina Pope received their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from New York University School of Law from 1983 to 1986. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (A.B.), magna cum laude, in Comparative Literature from Duke University from 1979 to 1983. Katrina also holds an additional A.B. degree in Comparative Literature from Duke University. Katrina completed their high school education at Huntingdon Area High School. In terms of certifications, they obtained several from LinkedIn in various subjects such as communication, project management, time management, and resilience. Katrina also completed a course on Cultivating Collaborative Leadership from UC Berkeley Executive Education and a course on Building Resilience and Preventing Burnout from Duke Corporate Education. Furthermore, Katrina obtained the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) in November 2016.
