Rashmi Deshpande

Rashmi Deshpande is an experienced professional with a strong background in clinical operations and project management. Rashmi currently holds the position of Senior Director Clinical Science at BioXcel Therapeutics, Inc. since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Project Leader at PAREXEL INTERNATIONAL CLINICAL RESEARCH PRIVATE LIMITED from December 2018 to July 2020.

From October 2017 to November 2018, Rashmi served as the Senior Director and Clin Ops Head at Trevi Therapeutics, Inc. Before that, they held various positions at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. including Director of Clinical Operations from September 2014 to September 2017, and Associate Director and Senior Clinical Project Lead from September 2008 to September 2014.

Rashmi Deshpande completed their education in a chronological manner. Rashmi first attended Atomic Energy Central School from 1977 to 1984, where they obtained their HSC degree in Science. Rashmi then enrolled at the University of Mumbai from 1984 to 1988, earning a B. Pharm degree in Pharmacy. Following this, Rashmi pursued their higher education at the University of Virginia from 1988 to 1991, completing their M.S. degree in Chemistry.
