Madhu Beriwal

Madhu Beriwal is a distinguished leader in safety and security consulting, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Bipartisan Policy Center since July 2024. As the Founder and Chairwoman, as well as President and CEO of IEM, established in 1985, Madhu Beriwal has enhanced disaster management and bioterrorism efforts through innovative consulting. Additional roles include Membership on President Biden's National Infrastructure Advisory Council and serving as a Guest Lecturer at the Naval Post Graduate School since 2008. Previous board experience includes a position on the Army Science Board. Madhu Beriwal's early career included roles as Program Manager at the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness and Planner at the Louisiana Department of Urban and Community Affairs. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Economics from the University of Calcutta.
