Marcel Akhame is a seasoned professional in public policy and advocacy, currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Bipartisan Policy Center since September 2025. Previously, Marcel held the position of Associate in U.S. Policy & Advocacy at Breakthrough Energy from January 2023 to March 2025, and worked as a Congressional Fellow with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation in 2022, where responsibilities included serving in the offices of Congressman A. Donald McEachin and the United States House Committee on Natural Resources. Earlier experience includes a role as a Program Analyst at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from July 2021 to January 2022 and an internship at the City Manager's Office in Denton in 2019. Marcel holds a Master's degree in Public Policy Analysis from American University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of North Texas.
