Ravi S Cheruvu

Ravi S Cheruvu has worked in the IT industry since 1979. Ravi S began their career at CMC Ltd as a Senior Software Consultant, where they were one of the architects of the Indian Railway System implemented in 1985/86 in New Delhi. In 1991, they became a Faculty Member at Latrobe University in the Computer Science Department. From 1994 to 2017, they worked as an Information Technology Consultant at Telstra/IBM. In 2017, they joined BIRD Analytics as Chief Research Scientist, where they developed a novel data-centric method to detect early formation of cracks in the deeply embedded shafts of steam turbines, as well as AI-based techniques to predict sales of wine. In 2020, they became Principal Research Investigator at Sensfix, where they have been actively involved in helping Sensfix prospecting for research grants. Ravi S is currently the CEO at IT Seers Software Pvt Ltd.

Ravi S Cheruvu completed their Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIT Madras in 1976. Ravi S then went on to pursue a Master of Technology in Computer Science from Computer Science in 1978. Ravi S then continued their studies and earned their Ph. D in Natural Language Processing, AI, and Computer Science from the University of Hyderabad in 1993.
