Candela Sotés MacAya

Candela Sotés Macaya is a seasoned legal professional specializing in EU and Competition Law, currently serving as a Senior Associate and Head of the EU & Competition Law Department at Bird & Bird since April 2018. Prior to this role, Candela worked as a Competition and EU lawyer at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira from November 2015 to April 2018 and gained initial legal experience as a summer intern in Competition Law at Uría Menéndez in 2014. Candela's diverse background also includes a role as an English teacher at Arturo Soria High School from October 2010 to May 2014 and a management trainee position at Elige WorkPlace in 2012.
