Robert Bellavia

Robert Bellavia has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Robert currently holds the position of Business Development Lead at Bird Construction since June 2023, where they are responsible for leading business development initiatives. Prior to that, they worked as a Proposal Lead at Bird Construction from September 2021 to June 2023.

Before joining Bird Construction, Robert worked at Aecon Group Inc. for several years. Robert'sroles at Aecon included Project Coordinator, Major Projects from February 2020 to September 2021, where they focused on Indigenous engagement for infrastructure projects in British Columbia. Robert also served as the Brand Development Lead, Corporate Marketing Communications from March 2019 to January 2020, where they developed marketing campaigns and brand identities. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Graphic Designer from April 2015 to March 2019 and as a Design Coordinator from August 2012 to April 2015, both positions focused on design-related responsibilities.

Robert's earlier career includes working as a Graphic Designer at Loomis Express from January 2012 to June 2012, and at Spin Design Solutions Inc. from August 2011 to November 2011. Robert also worked briefly as a Graphic Designer at Sputnik Design Partners in May 2011 and June 2011.

Robert Bellavia attended OCAD University from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Design (BDes) with a focus on Graphic Design. In September 2010, they obtained an Affiliate certification from the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD). In 2018, they enrolled in continuing education at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, specializing in Design. In April 2020, they received certifications in various courses related to Indigenous Canada, Indigenous Consultation & Engagement, Indigenous Employment: Recruitment & Retention, How to Negotiate with Indigenous Peoples, and Working with UNDRIP from Indigenous Corporate Training Inc. Moreover, in July 2020, they completed the Indigenous Canada program offered by Coursera.
