Timothy McPhail has a wealth of experience in the engineering, aviation, and military fields. In 2005, they began their career with the US Army as a Training NCO/Unit Administrator/Security Forces. Timothy then served as a Mechanized Infantry Gunner/Driver/Truck Commander from 2007 to 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they worked for both CSA, Inc. and Baran Telecom as a Site Acquisition Specialist, obtaining telecommunications sites by identifying sites, preparing and negotiating leases, obtaining permits, and maintaining records. In 2012, they transitioned to the Alabama Army National Guard as an Electronic Warfare NCO. From 2013 to 2015, they worked for Bechtel Infrastructure and Power Corporation as a Site Acquisition Coordinator/Data Quality Manager, overseeing site acquisition contractors and assisting fellow coordinators in the site acquisition process for building out the client's cellular network. From 2015 to 2019, they worked for American Tower as both an Operations Site Manager and Field Operations Technician, managing all aspects of work for roughly 250 cellular towers and completing 750+ UAS 3D photogrammetry audit flights. In 2019, they became the Owner/Operator of Aerial Scouts, LLC, providing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) turnkey services such as 3D photogrammetry surveys, real estate photography, construction surveys, event videography/photography, and managing relationships with customers, vendors, and landowners. Finally, in 2022, they began working for Birdstop as a Senior Field Engineer, playing an essential part in building and managing flight and engineering operations.

Timothy McPhail has a diverse educational background. From 2010 to 2016, they attended Athens State University and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management, General. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2009, they attended both Calhoun Community College and John C Calhoun State Community College, earning an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General and an Associate's Degree in Accounting, respectively. Additionally, Timothy has obtained numerous certifications, including a 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in November 2021, a FAA Part 107.29 Night Flight Ops Training Course certification from UAV Coach in November 2020, a Drone Safety Certified certification from Airdata UAV in June 2019, a 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health certification from OSHA Safety Training Institute in June 2020, a Part 107 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Recurrent Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in July 2021, an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in March 2021, a Part 107 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in July 2019, a RailSafe Certification from Norfolk Southern Corporation in July 2019, a 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in July 2015, a RailSafe Certification from Norfolk Southern Corporation in September 2017, and a Virginia Notary Public certification from the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Virginia in January 2014.
