Richard Paris

Richard Paris is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and compliance. Currently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Director of Compliance at Birla Carbon since May 2012, Richard oversees legal services across 12 countries, managing both in-house and external attorneys on a variety of legal matters. Previously, Richard founded and led RJ Paris General Counsel, LLC, providing tailored legal services to small and mid-sized businesses. Richard's earlier roles included Managing Counsel for UCB, Inc., where management of the legal and compliance departments for the Americas was executed, and Associate Attorney at McGuireWoods, handling diverse business transactions. Richard also partnered at Paris & Peterson, PC, advocating in employment and commercial litigation. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
