Ashish Puntambekar

Ashish Puntambekar has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Ashish started their career as a Software Engineer at Renu Electronics, where they wrote front-end software in DOS and Windows OS. Ashish then worked at Financial Engineering Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in writing device drivers and interfaces for derivatives platforms.

In 1998, Puntambekar joined Cognizant and took on various roles, including Associate Director and Technical Leader, where they were responsible for delivering services to a global US bank and executing strategic programs. Ashish later became the Director of Strategic Programs, playing a key role in defining and executing the company's AVM strategy. Ashish then became the Director of Delivery Partner, leading a global team responsible for delivering and transforming services for a European bank. Puntambekar's last role at Cognizant was Assistant Vice President and Delivery Head, where they were accountable for delivering high-quality banking and financial services to global accounts.

From 2020 to 2023, Puntambekar worked at Opus Consulting Solutions, where they held the positions of Senior Vice President of Delivery and Operations and Chief Operating Officer and Delivery Head. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing operations, delivery, staffing, and business strategy.

Currently, Puntambekar is the Global Head of Operations at Birlasoft, a position they have held since 2023. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing global operations and ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.

Ashish Puntambekar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Pune Institute of Computer Technology from 1991 to 1995. Ashish also received several additional certifications, including Advance Business Strategy Specialization from University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2020, Machine Learning from Stanford University in 2020, Executive Leadership Course at IIM - Bangalore in 2008, Executive Data Science Specialization from JOHN HOPKINS UNIVERSITY in 2006, and Rational Rose Certified OOAD Analyst and Designer from Rational Software in 2004.
