Catherine Shirley

Catherine Shirley is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Accounting and Finance at Birmingham City University, a position held since July 2018, and serves as an External Examiner for the Accountancy programme at Keele University. With extensive experience in accountancy education, Catherine is also a Lecturer and Writer for the CIMA Operational Case Study and CIMA P1, and has contributed as a CIMA AQ Objective Test Writer. Additionally, Catherine has been involved with OpenTuition.com as an Ask the Tutor for CIMA P1 & P2 Forums and was a founding partner and Senior Lecturer at CSSC Accountancy Tuition until September 2023. Previous roles include Visiting Lecturer in Management Accounting at Keele University, Objective Test Question Writer for ACCA, and Lecturer of Accountancy at Newcastle-Under-Lyme College. Catherine holds qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, University of Staffordshire, and Keele University.
