Ben Corcoran

Ben Corcoran is an experienced conservator with a strong background in object conservation, currently serving as a Conservator at Birmingham Museums Trust since June 2016. Ben's responsibilities include interventive treatment and assessment of collection objects, maintaining documentation, and supervising volunteer projects. Prior freelance work from March 2011 to June 2016 involved conservation and restoration tasks for private individuals and institutions. Earlier positions include Conservation Technician and Museum Assistant at Colchester & Ipswich Museum Service, where Ben engaged in condition reporting and exhibition support. An academic foundation includes a Master of Arts in Conservation of Decorative Surfaces and a Bachelor of Science in Restoration & Conservation of Decorative Surfaces, both from London Metropolitan University.
