Mehmet Senel

Mehmet Senel is an accomplished researcher and educator, currently serving as a Senior Project Scientist in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UC Irvine and as a Professor of Biochemistry at Biruni Üniversitesi. With extensive experience in biosensing, drug delivery systems, and the development of analytical methods, Mehmet Senel has held significant roles in various research institutions, including Senior Research Scientist at Sankara Brain and Biotechnology Research Center and Director of Research at multiple biotechnology companies. A PhD holder in Chemistry from Fatih University, Mehmet Senel has also contributed to academia as an Associate Professor and has established a Master's program in Medical Biotechnology. Research interests include novel assay development, microfluidic device fabrication, and the synthesis of multifunctional materials for biomedical applications.
