Tomasz Brudek has extensive work experience in the field of neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases. Tomasz started their career as a PHD student at Aarhus University in 2003 and continued as a Post.Doc. until 2010. During this time, they conducted research and gained expertise in the pathology of Parkinson's Disease (PD) and Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), as well as in suitable animal models for MSA. Tomasz also supervised MSc and PhD students in their research. In 2010, they joined Bispebjerg Hospital as a Senior Scientist, where they focused on basic and preclinical research of diseases in the central nervous system, specifically PD and MSA. In August 2021, they became the Head of the Molecular Biology Unit at the Centre for Neuroscience and stereology at Bispebjerg Hospital. Additionally, they worked as a Guest Scientist at Lundbeck from 2013 to 2015.
Tomasz Brudek completed their education in two institutions. From 1997 to 2002, they attended the University of Silesia in Katowice, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Following this, they enrolled at Aarhus University from 2003 to 2007 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Immunology and Neuroscience.
