Michael Vance

Michael Vance has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Michael began their career as a Business Analyst at Chiquita Brands International in 1989. Michael then moved to Johnson Controls, Inc as a Network Manager in 1992, followed by a role as a Program Manager at MCI in 1994. In 1995, they joined AEGON USA, Inc. where they held various positions including Manager of Human Resources Information Systems and Director of Corporate Systems.

During their time at AEGON USA, Inc., Vance also served as the Director of the Enterprise Process Management organization and the Director of Advanced Technologies. In 2002, they became the Director of the Project Management Office at AEGON USA, Inc. where they managed the Corporate Technology Division's Project Office and was responsible for project portfolio management and strategy planning.

In 2011, Vance joined Aviva USA as the AVP/Director of IT - Product Solutions Delivery, where they provided leadership to an application development team. Michael then moved to Wells Fargo as a Senior Project Manager, and later joined Principal Financial Group as an AdVance IT Consulting - Senior Project Manager.

From 2015 to 2020, Vance worked at Nationwide as the Director of IT Program Management and Service Delivery, overseeing a $50 million portfolio of critical IT solutions and leading a team of program and project managers.

Currently, Vance holds the position of Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at BITCO Insurance Companies, starting in September 2020.

Michael Vance received their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Coe College from 1981 to 1985. In 2001, they attended Eckerd College - Center for Creative Leadership but did not pursue a specific degree or field of study.
