Hobeng Lim (“HB”)

HB Lim has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. They currently hold the position of Head of Compliance (APAC) at BitGo, starting in June 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) from September 2015 to June 2022, where they were a Director and played a key role in crafting ADGM's Fintech and Crypto regulatory frameworks. They were also part of the founding team that created and ran the Fintech Abu Dhabi Festival, the largest Fintech conference in the MENA region. Before ADGM, HB worked at Promontory, a Business Unit of IBM, from September 2012 to August 2015 as a Principal, providing regulatory and compliance consulting services to financial institutions across various countries in Asia-Pacific. Their work at Promontory involved leading and managing engagements. HB's career began at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2006, where they held the position of Assistant Director until 2012.

Hobeng ("HB") Lim attended Yale University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. During their undergraduate studies, they pursued double majors in Economics and Psychology. Additionally, HB Lim has obtained the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), although the exact month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
