Avi Idel

Avi Idel has a diverse work experience. Avi currently holds the position of VP Growth & Finance at Bittax since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief of Staff to the Accountant General at the Israel Ministry of Finance from October 2021 to February 2023. Avi also worked as a Board-of-Directors Representative and Coordinator at GCA Government Companies Authority from 2019 to October 2021.

Before their roles in the government sector, Avi gained experience at PwC as a Senior Consultant in Strategy & Financial. There, they were involved in various tasks such as valuing business units, performing due diligence for M&A purposes, and developing cost reshaping and strategy plans for hi-tech enterprises and financial institutions. Avi'stenure at PwC lasted from 2016 to October 2021.

In addition to their professional career, Avi worked as an Accounting Lecturer at Ramat Gan Academic College from March 2017 to December 2018. Earlier in their career, they held positions at McKinsey & Company as a Consultant, where they worked on a project to optimize tax collection operations for the Israel Tax Authority. Avi also worked at Discount Bank as a Marketing Coordinator and in the Customer Recruitment Unit, where they collaborated with branch managers and provided guidance on increasing sales and customer recruitment.

In 2019, they further enhanced their knowledge by completing a course on M&A - Concept and Theories: Advanced Topics at the New York Institute of Finance. Avi continued to expand their expertise in 2021 with two additional certifications. Avi completed a program on Government Companies Directors from Tel-Aviv University - Lahav Executive Education and also obtained a certification in Government Innovation Managers from Machlelet Netivei Yisrael - Hevra Netivei Yeshrael (Israel's Road Administration).
