Salvador Leal has a diverse work experience that spans over many years. Salvador has served in various roles in different organizations. Starting in 2007, they worked as the Communications Manager at Financiera Rural, where they managed the office's budget and interacted with the media. In 2011, they joined the National Council for Culture and Arts as the Chief of Staff, responsible for the president's agenda and preparation of reports. Salvador later took on the role of Coordinator of Advisors and Special Projects. In 2013, they became the Administrative Coordinator for the CEO at Bancomext, Mexico's development bank, where they facilitated financing for companies involved in foreign trade. In 2015, they worked as the Editor in Chief at Revista Comercio Exterior and as the Chief of Staff at the Secretaría de Turismo, where they were responsible for coordinating financing for the tourism sector. In 2018, they became the Director of Government Affairs at Enlace Corporativo de México, a consulting and advisory company. In 2019, they served as the Chief of Staff at the Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (SEMARNAT). Currently, they work as the Director of Communications at BIVA MX and as a Government Affairs Consultant at Extenda - Andalucía Exportación e Inversión Extranjera.
Salvador Leal began their education in 1994 at Centro Universitario México, where they completed their high school education from 1994 to 1997. In 1998, they enrolled at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics until 2003. Concurrently, in 1999 and 2000, they also studied Spanish Language and Literature at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Salvador pursued further education in various fields. In 2004 and 2005, they obtained a Diploma in Political Communication Strategies from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México. In 2009, they attended the Mexico Summer Program at Harvard Kennedy School for Executive Education. Additionally, in 2010, they participated in an Executive Education program at Georgetown University, focusing on U.S. Politics and Bilateral Cooperation and Conflict.
Salvador continued their academic journey with a Master's degree in Public and Policy Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they pursued from 2009 to 2011. Their dedication to knowledge expansion led him to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2013, where they are currently studying.
Recently, in 2019 and 2020, Salvador undertook a Master's degree in Internet Business at ISDI, further enriching their understanding of this field.
