Pietro Stagno Ugarte

Pietro Stagno Ugarte is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in both academic and professional settings. As Principal and Co-Founder of Luz de Piedra since January 2000, Pietro has played a crucial role in architectural design. In addition, Pietro has served as Chief Design Officer and Co-Founder of BIYU HABITATS HOLDING B.V. since January 2020. Pietro was an Associate Professor at Universidad LCI Veritas from 2011 to 2020, overseeing the Sustainability Design Studio in the Architecture Faculty. Previous roles include Principal at STAGNO Studio, where Pietro was actively involved in significant design and construction projects, and Principal Architect at Bruno Stagno Arquitecto y Asociados SA, managing high-profile projects such as Microsoft Offices in various locations. Pietro's early career included architectural roles that contributed to significant urban projects in Chile and Uruguay. Pietro earned a BFA and BA in Fine Arts and Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
