Amy Hunter has a diverse work experience, primarily in the healthcare industry. Amy has held various roles at BJC HealthCare, starting as a Program Manager in 2011 and progressing to become the Vice President of Patient Care Systems in 2023. Prior to BJC HealthCare, Amy co-founded and worked as a consultant at P3 Healthcare Consulting, LLC from 2010 to 2019. Amy also worked as a Registered Nurse at Washington University in St. Louis from 2009 to 2011 and as an Infection Control Nurse at Select Medical from 2009 to 2010. Amy's early career includes a managerial role at Barnes-Jewish Hospital from 2006 to 2009, where they focused on intervention epidemiology and infection prevention.

Amy Hunter obtained a BSN degree in Nursing from Barnes College of Nursing in 1996. Amy later pursued a Masters Degree in Health Science with a focus on Health Behavior Research from Washington University in St. Louis, which they completed in 2005. Amy also holds several certifications, including Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and Certified in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. Amy has additional certifications in Just Culture, Lean Leadership, Six Sigma Black Belt, and is a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer.
