BJJ is an asset based Global Supply Chain Management company founded in 2011 and formerly established in 2013. The company began shipping RORO via vessel cargo and expanded its menu of services to add container freight, documentation, warehousing, and customs. Keena Kelly became the Government Liaison in 2014. In 2015, she successfully guided the company through its first government audit, successfully receiving high marks for processes and compliance in the maritime industry. She led the charge to overhaul company's operations, achieving sustained growth for 3 straight years from 2015-2018.
Keena improved productivity, while cutting operational costs by 28% by negotiating contracts with Grimaldi and Sippic Sarl Shipping. Also, being keene on trends and “what matters” to the clients in the industry, Keena facilitated an innovative marketing strategy that increased annual company revenue by 17%. In 2016, Keena leveraged emerging analytics tools to identify trends related to online traffic, sales, and that led to 100% rating on the Service-Learning Agreement/On-Time In-Full delivery of client shipments.
In 2017, Keena acquired BJJ Enterprise. After this bold move, the Federal Maritime Commission granted her application to become a certified Ocean Freight Forwarder and a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier, making her a true Unicorn in the industry.
This past year has been really hard for everyone. There is not one industry affected by the Global Pandemic. For BJJ, it was especially difficult because when 2020 began, it looked like it was going to be a banner year for the company. Needless to say, the disappointment stung deep. It still hurts. But Keena is America Tough! The Determination to make it in this industry is the engine that keeps Keena roaring. Her ideas and approach to service will be what differentiates BJJ from all the rest.

Keena holds a Master of Education from The Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. She remains active with both civic and professional organizations like Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and Chicago Brokers and Forwarders Association.
