Pernilla Johansson has a diverse work history. Pernilla started their career in 1988 at Ekonomi och Teknik Förlag, where they worked in sales for two years. Pernilla then moved to Ogilvy Public Relations in 1996, where they were an Account Executive and Creative Coach for four years. Pernilla then worked at PRFabriken (now Manning, Selvage & Lee) as a Senior Account Executive before starting their own business in 2001 as a Senior PR and communications consultant, handling clients in fashion, media, and design. In 2003, they joined Edelman UFO as an Account Director before transitioning to Agency in 2005, where they worked as an Account Director for a year. Pernilla's career took their to Baluba Television in 2009, where they worked as a Project Manager for several months before becoming a Freelancer in 2008, providing public relations advice and event production services. Finally, Pernilla joined Björn Borg AB in 2010, starting as the Head of PR and later becoming the Head of Corporate Communication and Sustainability Strategist. In this role, they managed all corporate communications, internal and external, and led the development and implementation of the company's 2030 sustainability roadmap.

Pernilla Johansson has a diverse education history. In 1987-1988, they attended the Frans Schartau School of Economics, where they obtained a diploma in Foreign Trade and International Marketing. Following that, from 1990-1992, Pernilla attended the IHM Business School and earned a diploma in Communications and Copywriting. In 1993-1994, they enrolled at the Poppius School of Journalism, focusing on Writing for the Daily Press and obtaining a diploma. Additionally, Pernilla obtained a certification in Content Strategy for Professionals: Engaging Audiences for Your Organization from Coursera in February 2014.
