JR Remelgado is an experienced educational professional currently serving as a Writer Manager at BJU Press since June 2019, overseeing teams that develop English Language Arts, Science, and Math textbooks, while also creating professional development workshops and managing an internship program. In addition, JR teaches Composition and Literature as an Adjunct Faculty member at Bob Jones University. With a background as a Secondary English Teacher at Southern Maryland Christian Academy, responsibilities included mentoring new teachers, chairing the English department, and developing dual credit courses in collaboration with Colorado Christian University. Earlier roles included online grading for Penn Foster High School and ESL instruction at The Learning Center at Trinity. JR holds a Master of Arts in Literature from Clarks Summit University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Thomas Edison State University.
