Nicolas Bøtkjær

Nicolas Bøtkjær is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software development and image processing. As the Principal System Engineer at BK Medical since July 2022, Nicolas has focused on developing image forming algorithms for ultrasound scanners, incorporating various beamforming and signal processing techniques. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior R&D Embedded Software Engineer at Ambu A/S, R&D Software Engineer at BK Ultrasound, and a Software Developer at Dantec Dynamics, where Nicolas optimized software for turbulence measurement systems. Additionally, Nicolas has a robust foundation in machine vision from employment at Image House A/S. Nicolas holds a Master’s Degree from the Technical University of Denmark, earned between 1991 and 1998.
