Gabriel Lipsa

Gabriel Lipsa has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Gabriel is currently the Head of Science at Endaprime by BKW since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Data Scientist at BKW AG starting from June 2020. Gabriel also served as an Enterprise Data Scientist at Philip Morris International from August 2017 to May 2020, where they built models for determining user age based on interests and optimized PySpark code. Before that, they worked as a Research Engineer at GE Global Research from November 2015 to July 2017. Gabriel's earlier experience includes working as an Information Technology Officer at the International Monetary Fund from August 2010 to October 2015, where they focused on credit risk modeling and financial market analysis. Gabriel began their career as a Research Assistant at Forschungszentrum Informatik from November 2003 to July 2005, where they specialized in virtual prototyping and hardware modeling.

Gabriel Lipsa completed their education as follows:

- From 2005 to 2010, they pursued a PhD and MSc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland.

- Between 2003 and 2006, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.

- From 1998 to 2003, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași.

- Gabriel also attended Costache Negruzzi High School from 1990 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Gabriel Lipsa has obtained several certifications, including courses in quantum computing, big data analysis, parallel programming, functional programming, neural networks, and machine learning. The institutions from which they obtained these certifications include MIT xPRO, edX, and Coursera.
