Taquila Monroe has a strong background in the field of Head Start and Early Head Start programs. Taquila has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise in program management, compliance, and strategic planning.

In 2008, Taquila started their career as a Health Program Manager at Sunflower Humphreys Counties Progress, where they ensured compliance with program requirements and achieved 100% of key performance indicators.

Taquila then worked at Danya International LLC as a Federal Reviewer and Independent Consultant for the Office of Head Start. This role involved conducting reviews and providing technical assistance to Head Start programs.

In 2012, Taquila founded Monroe Consulting LLC, where they provided training and technical assistance to Head Start grantees. Taquila successfully marketed services, negotiated contracts, and delivered training to improve program outcomes.

Taquila's next role was at Lutheran Services Florida, where they served as the Child Health, Safety, and Disability Manager. Taquila implemented strategies to achieve 98% compliance, conducted data analysis, and developed long-term goals and plans.

Taquila then joined Head Start as the Chief Operating Officer (Contract) in 2018. Taquila was responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and developing operational procedures to support the program's daily activities.

In 2019, Taquila became the Executive Director at Tuskegee-Macon County Head Start, overseeing program operations and compliance.

In 2020, they worked as an Independent Consultant at HelpMeGrow, LLC.

Currently, Taquila is the Head Start Director at the Black Belt Community Foundation, where they continue to utilize their expertise to lead and manage the program effectively.

Taquila Monroe, MBA/HCM has a strong educational background with degrees from multiple institutions. Taquila earned their Doctor of Education - EdD in Organizational Leadership/Organizational Psychology from Aspen University, completing their studies from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management/Business from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2006 to 2008. Their bachelor's degree in Psychology/Biology was earned from Delta State University, where they attended from 2000 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Taquila Monroe has also obtained several certifications. Taquila holds a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education, obtained in May 2021. In March 2019, they became a UCLA 2019 Mentoring Initiative Fellow through the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Taquila has also completed a Mindfulness Instructor course from Udemy in October 2018. Furthermore, they are certified as a CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor by the American Red Cross since September 2018. Taquila Monroe has also acquired credentials such as Mind in the Making from the Office of Head Start in March 2018 and a Family Development Credential Trainer from the University of Connecticut, achieved in March 2016.
